Tara Sharif, Ph.D - Managing Director - HealthCare

Dr. Sharif Joined Tekesta Capital Partners in July, 2011, with a focus on public and private financing as well as advisory services for mid/small-market cap healthcare & life sciences companies.

Tara is an industry professional with 11 years of developmental & cell biology research and mentoring at Cornell Medical College and City University of New York, and 10 years of investment banking and executive management at Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance LLP, Maxim Group LLC, ECI Biotech, Inc. and Newbridge Securities. As a healthcare investment banker, she participated in a number of domestic and cross-border transactions exceeding $200 million. Dr. Sharif has also served as financial and strategic consultant to a number of biotechnology corporations and with the Alliance for Science and Technology Development team of Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. Dr. Sharif holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University (Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Epsilon) and a Ph.D. in Developmental and Cellular Biology from Southern Illinois University.
