Richard Rappaport
CEO
Los Angeles, CA - Prior to joining WestPark,
Mr. Rappaport had extensive experience
in the small cap investment banking and
securities markets; he has completed over
50 public offerings and numerous private
placements. He was the Managing Director
of Investment Banking at internationally
based Global Capital Securities from 1998
until December 1999 and Managing Director
of Investment Banking at Joseph Charles & Associates
from 1995 to 1998. At both firms he ran
their Investment Banking departments where
he was responsible for all aspects of the
firms’ corporate finance activities.
During this period he raised in excess
of $570 Million in both public and private
transactions for U.S. and internationally
based small cap growth companies.
From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Rappaport was Managing
Director at a Beverly Hills based boutique
Investment Bank. He was responsible for
all aspects of the firm’s public
offerings including new business development.
During this period he completed over 25
public offerings and numerous private transactions.
He received his B.S. in Business Administration
from the University of California at Berkeley,
and his M.B.A. from the University of California
at Los Angeles. At UCLA, Mr. Rappaport
was a recipient of the Wittenberg-Livingston
Fellowship and a member of the Beta Gamma
Sigma Business Honorary Society.
Anthony C. Pintsopoulos
President and Treasurer
Mr. Pintsopoulos
is the President and Chief Financial Officer
at WestPark Capital, Inc. He is responsible
for safeguarding the Company’s assets,
supervises accounting and operations personnel,
and he is the Company’s facilitator.
Prior to joining WestPark Capital, Mr.
Pintsopoulos was CFO and acting COO at
Joseph, Charles & Associates(JCA).
He was responsible for the restructuring
the financial and operational aspects of
JCA’s 8 offices. In addition, he
redesigned the entire financial reporting
system and installed financial and operational
controls throughout the entire firm. Mr.
Pintsopoulos also served as CFO and Treasurer
and Board Member at Safety 1st, Inc. There
he managed all financial aspects of the
firm’s accounting and financial reporting
activities including financial statement
preparation, development of SEC reporting
functions, general ledger activity, budget
preparation and policy and procedure development
and implementation.
Additionally, he administered
the firm’s IPO and Secondary Offerings
and maintained relationships with industry
analysts. Preceding Safety 1st, Mr. Pintsopoulos
worked at Coopers & Lybrand Boston,
Massachusetts. Also he owned his own CPA
Firm in Massachusetts before merging it
into Vitale, Caturano & Co., PC (the
largest CPA firm in New England, other
than the Big 4). In his CPA business, he
has worked with both public and private
entities in all phases of business development.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration
in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst and holds FINRA licenses 7, 24,
and 63. He is a Certified Public Accountant,
a member of the Massachusetts Society of
Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and
the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA).
Jason S. Stern
Los Angeles, CA - Mr. Stern has over
18 years of experience in all aspects of
the financial-services industry as it relates
to broker-dealer operations and sales.
Prior to joining Westpark in 1999, he was
the Branch Manager of both the Santa Monica
and Beverly Hills offices of internationally
based Global Capital Securities. He supervised
a staff of 50 brokers and 10 support employees
in the operation of both locations and
coordinated efforts in the successful completion
of several corporate finance transactions
in addition to daily full-service brokerage
for its established clientele. Prior to
joining Global Capital, Mr. Stern was the
President of Beverly Hills Capital, Inc..
He completed the mergers and acquisitions
of three independently- owned boutique
investment banking franchises and built
and trained a retail brokerage staff of
over 100 registered stockbrokers.
Mr. Stern started his career in 1989 at
Boston based Gruntal & Company. He
went on to have a successful business as
a top-producing broker for several Firms
including Prudential Securities where he
served as an Associate Vice President at
their Beverly Hills location until he went
on to pursue his goals in management and
development in 1997.
Mr. Stern takes pride in holding himself
and those he works with to the highest
standards of compliance and professionalism
and has dedicated himself to ensuring that
Westpark Capital provides the best possible
service to it's clients and affiliates.
He attended Northeastern University and
Boston University where his studies were
concentrated in economics and finance.
Paul S. Caron
Chief Compliance Officer
Los Angeles, CA - Mr. Caron is responsible for the Company’s compliance program and has over fifteen years of experience in the securities industry specializing in trade review and risk management. Prior to joining WestPark Capital, Mr. Caron spent eight years as a Risk Manager and Compliance Officer for Raymond James Financial, Inc. in St. Petersburg, FL and prior to Raymond James he spent five years at INVEST Financial Corporation in Tampa, FL as the Vice President of Sales Review.
Mr. Caron is originally from Portland, ME and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Husson College in Bangor, ME. He also holds FINRA series licenses 4, 7, 24, 53, 63 and 65.
Kevin DePrimio
Executive Managing Director
Mr. DePrimio has worked in investment banking since 2001 during which time he has focused on transactions with emerging growth companies. He has participated in over forty securities, corporate and financing transactions, including initial and follow-on public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and private placements. Prior to joining WestPark, Mr. DePrimio was with the investment banking division of RSM McGladrey, a global accounting and consulting firm, where he was responsible for the valuation as well as mergers and acquisitions of middle market companies in the high technology, transportation and healthcare industries. He was previously an equity research associate with the Seidler Companies focusing on the gaming and technology sectors. Prior to that, he worked at Roth Capital Partners, where he served as a generalist equity research associate following experience as a corporate finance analyst, a role in which he worked on numerous PIPE transactions and fairness opinions.
Mr. DePrimio received his BSBA, summa cum laude, from Villanova University (Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi) with majors in finance and management information systems. He holds NASD Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Los Angeles Venture Association.
Robert Schultz
Managing Director
Los Angeles, CA - Prior to joining WestPark,
Mr. Schultz had a diverse background in
corporate finance, strategic planning and
corporate development in varied industries
including multi-national public companies,
privately held companies and investment
banking. From 2001 until joining WestPark,
Mr. Schultz was Chief Financial Officer
of an emerging cryogenic packaging company
servicing the human and animal reproduction
and pharmaceutical industries. From 1999
to 2001 he was Vice President Finance of
a start-up digital entertainment company.
From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Schultz was the
Founder and Managing Director of a financial
consulting and corporate development firm.
From 1995-1997, he was Vice President Corporate
Finance and Managing Director of Capital
Markets at a leading discount brokerage
firm with multiple offices in the U.S.
and overseas.
His previous professional experience includes
Treasurer of a regulated commodities dealer,
Vice President and Treasurer of an AMEX
holding company, Director of Taxation for
a multinational AMEX conglomerate, and
Auditor and Senior Tax Specialist for one
of the major CPA firms.
Mr. Schultz is a CPA and received his
B.B.A. in Public Accounting from Pace University
in New York.
Michael Christiansen
Senior Vice President
Mr. Christiansen has more than twenty years of entrepreneurial and investment banking experience. Most recently, Mr. Christiansen served as Chief Financial Officer from 2006 to 2007 for VizzVox, Inc., an online multimedia communications venture. Prior to VizzVox, Mr. Christiansen served as Chief Financial Officer of Vizional Technologies from 2002 through 2006. His leadership was instrumental in the strategic repositioning of the company and managing an aggregate of more than $25 million in new equity and debt financing.
Mr. Christiansen served as Vice President at Prudential Securities from 1997 to 2001, and with Seidler Amdec Securities and Laffer Associates from 1986 to 1992. His investment banking experience includes public and private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory engagements with clients in consumer, retailing, software and technology industries; he has advised clients on more than $1 billion in aggregate closed transactions.
From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Christiansen served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of PortaCom Wireless, where he managed a financial restructuring and raised an aggregate of $32 million in equity and telecom project financing. From 1992 to 1994, he served as Director of Business Development for Trident Data Systems, a leading information technology services provider.
Mr. Christiansen received a B.S. in Corporate Finance and Economics from Utah State University and an MBA from the University of Southern California, where he was a Dean’s List Scholar.
James E. Hosch
Managing Director of Investment Banking
James Hosch is a veteran investment banker with a wide range of expertise within the financial services arena. During a nearly thirty-year career, he has established a proven track record of success across multiple investment categories, from the development of real estate, and oil and gas companies, to taking public software, healthcare and bio-technology companies, among others. Mr. Hosch has a uniquely broad perspective and extraordinary understanding of investment banking and deal-making in global capital markets. His expertise includes the placement of equity and convertible securities for public and private companies. During the course of his career, Mr. Hosch has served in various senior level management positions, including that of President of a regional investment banking firm, where he was responsible for 150 brokers operating throughout the country. Mr. Hosch has a wealth of top-tier management, supervisory, compliance, development and operational expertise.
Notable achievements include bringing to market a $15 million public offering for a bio-technology firm, the largest deal of its type at the time in Colorado. As the Managing Principal of a hotel gaming company in Deadwood, South Dakota, he was instrumental in bringing the company public. While on the Executive Committee of another Regional Firm, he played a significant role in the first private IPO, as well as the first secondary financing, for Frontier Airlines, fueling the company’s growth to more than 5,000 employees.
During the course of his career, Mr. Hosch has held various licenses in multiple states across the country. Mr. Hosch earned a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
Jacob DuBois
Senior Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions
Mr. DuBois has worked in investment banking since 2000 during which time he has focused on advising middle-market companies. He has completed dozens of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, public offerings, and private capital raises. Prior to joining WestPark, he was a Vice President in the investment banking division of RSM McGladrey, a global accounting and consulting firm, where he was responsible for the origination and execution of transactions across a variety of industries including building materials, business services, construction, distribution, engineering, government services, industrials, and manufacturing. He began his career as an analyst with Wedbush Morgan Securities, a full-service boutique investment bank based in Los Angeles where he worked on numerous successful deals in the consumer products, financial services, and healthcare industries. Over the course of his career he has participated in more than $750 million of aggregate transaction value.
Mr. DuBois received his B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from the Whittemore School of Business & Economics at University of New Hampshire (Beta Gamma Sigma, Golden Key, Phi Kappa Phi). He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Middle Market Investment Banking Association, and the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisitions Advisors.
Frank Salvatore
Managing Director, Brokerage and Sales
Mr. Salvatore is a more than twenty-year veteran of the financial services industry. Starting as a retail broker in 1987, Mr. Salvatore’s wide range of experience created a platform for his rise to the position of National Sales Manager of a significant regional firm he helped grow to 14 offices and more than 300 brokers throughout the country. His accomplishments at the firm led to his being named as Chief Operating Officer. Upon the sale of assets of this highly recognized firm, Mr. Salvatore’s talents were tapped by another significant regional B/D to establish a Florida presence that he helped develop before being recruited by Dawson James Securities in 2005. A full-service investment banking firm with specialties in healthcare, biotechnology, technology and the clean-tech sectors, Mr. Salvatore served as the organization’s Managing Partner. Among other achievements, such as those in the Investment Banking arena, he further developed an extensive retail distribution platform for the firm. He also realigned and expanded the organization with the-then shifting economy and financial services arena by creating a Financial Services Division and a Registered Investment Advisor Division capitalizing on a new market paradigm to develop fee-based business. Mr. Salvatore joins WestPark Capital as Managing Director, Brokerage and Sales, where he will be using his highly developed talents to further develop the firm’s retail brokerage presence and enhance the firm’s distribution capabilities.
Mr. Salvatore graduated from Flagler College Suma Cum Laude with a major in Accounting and a minor in Economics. He holds Series7, Series 24, and Series 63 FINRA licenses.
Douglas F. Kaiser
Managing Director, Brokerage and Sales
A highly credentialed financial services professional, Mr. Kaiser began his career in 1988 as a retail broker for a small regional firm in White Plains, New York. This boutique experience coupled with exemplary supervisory, compliance and operational skills proved invaluable when Mr. Kaiser went on to become a Founding Partner of Joseph Charles & Associates in 1991. As a principal in the organization, Mr. Kaiser excelled in the areas of Trading Operations, as well as Market Making; during the latter stages of his career here, his successes also included appointment as Head of Sales. Mr. Kaiser’s significant contributions helped grow the firm to 14 offices and more than 300 employees. In 2000, after the sale of assets of Joseph Charles and Associates, Mr. Kaiser focused on establishing a retail division for another significant regional B/D in Florida. His career success led him to the post of Managing Partner of Dawson James Securities in 2005. A full service investment banking firm with specialties in healthcare, biotechnology, technology and the clean-tech sectors, he continued to excel in the areas of recruiting, operations, and supervision of the firm’s Institutional and Retail Trading department. In 2010, Mr. Kaiser joined West Park Capital as Managing Director, Brokerage and Sales, where his proven experience will be instrumental in growing the firm’s retail brokerage presence while simultaneously focused on expanding the organizations distribution channels.
Mr. Kaiser graduated from Lawrence University, in Appleton, Wisconsin, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He also holds FINRA series licenses 4, 7, 24, 28, 53, and 55.
Diane Cabo
Associate
Ms. Cabo has over five years of experience with a background in the hedge fund, venture capital and private equity industries. Prior to joining WestPark, Ms. Cabo was running her own business plan writing and business development consulting company, focused on small to medium-sized businesses interested in angel and venture capital funding. She was previously an associate with the private equity firm, ARC Investment Partners, where she worked on deal teams responsible for due diligence, valuations and analysis of middle market companies in the technology, financial services and retail industries. She was previously a Director of Operations for a Boston-based hedge fund, whereby she focused on equity research, trading and operations, and she also worked as a generalist equity research associate with Westfield Capital Management, a leading investment management firm in Boston. Ms. Cabo’s career began as a financial analyst for the human resources division of EMC Corporation.
Ms. Cabo received her B.S. from Boston College with majors in finance and marketing and an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. She also holds an NASD Series 7 license.
Ann Pan
Senior Analyst
Ms. Pan has over two years’ experience in the finance industry working with international and middle-market companies. Prior to joining WestPark, Ms. Pan was with the investment banking division of Merriman Curhan Ford, where she was a generalist in the life sciences, technology, consumer, and clean technology industries responsible for the valuation as well as merger and acquisitions of companies. She worked on multiple PIPEs, fairness opinions, and public deals, including a $73MM Chinese IPO that listed on the NASDAQ. She has also served as an international trade analyst in Taiwan focusing on PVC products.
Ms. Pan received her B.A. from University of California, Berkeley in Economics with an emphasis on international economics as well as a minor in Chinese Language. She holds NASD Series 7 and 66 licenses.
H. H. (Kin) Houston, III
Director of Institutional Sales
Prior to joining WestPark,
Mr. Houston has been involved in the investment
industry for over 20 years, the majority
of which has been working personally with
and counseling high net worth individuals.
Mr. Houston has been a top producer at
several brokerage firms including Joseph
Charles and Associates and Sterling Financial
Group. He holds Series 4, 7, 24, and Series
63 licenses.
Mr. Houston attended the University of
South Carolina and Coastal Carolina University
on College Golf Scholarships, and later
became a professional golfer and a teaching
professional.
Mr. Houston has 30 years of experience
in the Martial Arts and has risen to the
rank of Master of Shaolin Kempo Karate.
